How We Protect Vulnerable Storytellers
For stories involving persecution, abuse, or sensitive situations, we take extra precautions:
- Location scrubbing: We remove geolocation data from photos and videos
- Identity protection: Anonymous submissions are never linked to identifiable information
- Safety review: Human moderators review stories before public publishing
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Right to removal: Stories can be removed immediately upon request
